For the summer of 2024, The California-China Climate Institute launched a Student Travel and Fieldwork Grant program. These grants supported thesis, pre-dissertation, or dissertation work of UC Berkeley students whose research relates to China and/or U.S. climate, environmental and energy policy. Students have now completed their summer projects and are sharing their learnings and outcomes. Below outlines key highlights from selected student projects.

Apply for the 2025 Student Fieldwork Grant Cycle
The California-China Climate Institute is accepting proposals for small travel and independent field research grants from University of California at Berkeley students (undergraduate or graduate) for thesis, pre-dissertation, or dissertation projects relating to China and/or U.S. (national and subnational) climate, environmental, and energy policy for the summer of 2025.
