The California-Shanghai Maritime Decarbonization and Green Shipping High-Level Forum, to be held on March 12 in the City of Long Beach, will feature key climate and transportation leaders from the State Transportation Agency, Regional Ports, and Chinese partner jurisdictions like Shanghai. It will highlight the role of policy and regulation in advancing international green shipping corridors, with an aim of replicating existing successful green shipping corridor models such as the Shanghai- Los Angeles-Long Beach Corridor. Furthermore, it will focus not only on emissions reductions from port operations themselves (including a tour of the Port of Long Beach), but also from the ships and fuels in use. Organized by the California State Transportation Agency, California Air Resources Board, California Energy Commission, and California-China Climate Institute, this event is by invitation-only.
